Call for applications: Le Kolatier music market in Cameroon

Cameroonian music market Le Kolatier is calling on emerging musicians and groups residing in Africa to apply for the 2019 edition of the industry event.

The music market takes place in Yaoundé from 6 to 9 November and will run under theme Africa, New Eldorado of the Music Industry.

Now in its 10th year, Le Kolatier is an exchange and networking platform for music professionals from Africa and around the world. It is designed to contribute to the development of the African music industry.

Application requirements


  • The call is intended for emerging African artists or musical groups living on the continent that have not received international exposure.
  • The artist/group should have at least one professionally recorded album.
  • Artists should present original works that favour enhancement of African heritage.
  • Applicants should present a professional video shot in professional conditions.

Applications can be submitted online via this link. The application deadline is 30 April. Applicants will be selected by a committee of industry professionals and successful candidates will be informed by 30 June.

Selected groups should be prepared to foot their transport costs. The organisers will only support the group's stay during the event, including accommodation, meals and accreditation to participate in all activities.

Late and incomplete applications that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted.
